Hate Eaters
“Hate Eaters” began as a Pride Month tribute and grew into something much bigger: a world where queer joy has guardians. These little creatures aren’t villains — they’re protectors. All those teeth are for a purpose. When the world spits cruelty at queer people, they swallow it whole. They take the ugliness, the judgment, the hostility, and neutralize it with the kind of fierce, unconditional love that bigots will never understand. Their design is soft and monstrous at the same time because queer joy has always had to be both — tender in its heart and unbreakable in its survival.
This series is for every LGBTQIA+ person who’s ever been told they’re “too much,” “too different,” or “not enough.” These characters exist to say the opposite. They feast on hate so you can breathe. They cheer when you take up space. They celebrate your softness, your transformation, your community, and your selfhood. If you’ve ever wished for a creature who could stand between you and the world’s cruelty, consider these my offering. And in full mom form, I’m here cheering for the joy you’ve created despite everything designed to crush it — joy that deserves to be protected, nourished, and loud.
